Fab Specialties Driver and Bojangles Summer Shootout Champion

to Honor Zach Donatti at the 2015 Asphalt Nationals

Fab Specialties driver Jordan Black will be running the number 9z in memory of Zack Donatti at the Asphalt Nationals on November 11th-14th. Black will be honoring this young driver with a special paint scheme replicated like Donatti's racecar. Anderson Motor Speedway will be hosting the final asphalt event of the 2015 season for US Legend Cars; drivers from across the nation compete for the most preeminent title in the series.

"I feel honored to drive the 9z for the Donatti family. Zach was the first person to introduce me into racing and I hope to pick up a win in his memory," says Black.

Zack Donatti, 19, passed on June 15 from injuries suffered from a fall at a construction site. Zack was a Quarter-Midget National Champion and later a Late Model Track Champion at New Smyrna Speedway.

Fab Specialties president Matt Drake has been preparing the team for Asphalt Nationals since August. "We put 100% into providing top notch racecars for all our drivers, and are excited to represent Donatti at Anderson." The idea behind honoring Donatti has been a topic of several conversations for Black and the Fab Specialties team. "I've wanted to do this for a while and I figured this was the right time…this could be my last race," states Black. The 2016 season is still undecided for young driver Jordan Black, as he is currently searching for sponsorship.

Black, originally from Winter Springs, Florida, raced with Donatti for several years in Quarter Midgets of America before graduating into the Legend Car Series. "Zach and I were always really competitive on the track, but best of friends off the track," says Black. Asphalt Nationals is open to the public at Anderson Motor Speedway. You can see Black honor the 9z on Saturday, November 14th at 6:45pm during the Pro Feature.
