Rule update #3220-2 (Legend Car / Wheel & Tire Weight) 3/2/20

As of 3/2/20, Legend Car, Rule #75, Page 74 of the 2020 INEX Rulebook will be changed to read as follows:

  1. WHEELS: Any type of automotive steel wheel that has a 13" diameter, a 7" width and the offset of 3" to 3 1/4" from back rim edge to back of wheel center is permitted.

The minimum tire & wheel combination weights are as follows:

Standard wheel and Federal tire = 31 lbs.                                                      Standard wheel and Hoosier Asphalt tire = 28 lbs.                                          Standard wheel and Hoosier Dirt tire = 28 lbs.                                               Standard wheel and Hoosier Rain tire = 28 lbs.                                              Standard wheel and American Racer tire = 25 lbs.

The Aero & Bassett "light" wheels must have the INEX stamp and sticker.

Aero or Bassett "light" wheel and Federal tire = 28 lbs.                       
Aero or Bassett "light" wheel and Hoosier Asphalt tire = 25 lbs.           
Aero or Bassett "light" wheel and Hoosier Dirt tire = 25 lbs.                 
Aero or Bassett "light" wheel and Hoosier Rain tire = 25 lbs.               
Aero or Bassett "light" wheel and American Racer tire = 22 lbs.

All-wheel weights must be secured with duct tape. Bleeder or relief valves are not permitted in the wheels. INEX approved (and marked) bead lock wheel will be allowed to be used on the right rear ONLY.

 

The change to this rule is the addition of the Hoosier tire & wheel weight specifications. The Federal tire and American Racer tire specifications remain the same as previously posted.
