Surviving the chaos was the number one job of the drivers during Friday's INEX National Qualifiers at EchoPark Speeday, making opening day of Bandolero Championship Nationals a wild one.
There were enough Outlaws to require a B-Main. Broxton Campos took the lead early but spun out on his own. Driving back from the rear, he had to chase down Ava Boyd. She led all the way to the finish, beating Campos to the line by just 0.054 seconds.
Chandler Stanley made a late-race pass on Brody Solomito to claim the Beginner Bandolero feature after several cautions. The Bandits race ended with a yellow flag, and Carter Clapp was awarded the victory as he led the final scored lap. And in the Outlaws feature, chaos from 1st to 28th made the race difficutl to find a rhythm. A caution with contact between Carson Sherman and Lucas McFall sparked the final caution, lifting Carson Cauble to victory.
