The Cook Out Summer Shootout continued Tuesday night at America’s Home for Racing, with Red, White, and Vroom night to celebrate the United States of America’s 250th Birthday, there only fireworks in the sky above Charlotte Motor Speedway, but fireworks of a different kind were on the track, too.

The Bandits race proved that even at a young age, great racing can still take place. After the invert, Carter Clapp and Lucas Harrison brought the pack to green. Harrison showed his pace early building a lead on the field, while Maverick Bradshaw and Charlie Evans follow behind him. The stellar battle for second continued into Lap 10 as Evans and Bradshaw got side-by-side, a theme that would continue for the ensuing few laps. Harrison’s lead grew to 2.6 seconds, until a caution in Lap 14 opened the door for the battling cars behind to have a chance.

Bradshaw elected to go on the outside of the front row on the choice, and after an amazing crossover in Turn 1, he gained the lead late in the race. While his lead wasn’t a large margin, his race was made easier, as Harrison and Evans make contact on Lap 16 bringing out a caution and sending them to the back of the pack. While Bradshaw would continue to stay in the lead after the restart, he would once again be tested as a late caution would set up a two-lap shootout to end the race. On the shootout Bradshaw would keep the lead, but Anthony Pedulla’s pace gave him an opportunity to steal the win. Pedulla made his move on the final lap, but as he looked to pass Bradshaw in Turn 2, he got loose securing Bradshaw another win in the Summer Shootout.

The Young Lions Feature had a everything from black flags, cautions, and a new race winner. Eli Black and Peyton Worm brought the group to green, with Black having great speed out in front early in the race. Black would build his lead up to just under a second in the race, until Colt Johnson and Edison Carter collide bringing out the first caution of the race. As the pack reconnected, the race would not stay clean as multiple cautions would ensue on the restarts.

Black would keep his lead until a Lap 11 restart saw Cole Dasenbrock take the lead. The race would continue to stay green, and Dasenbrock was able to showcase his long run speed as Thrasher followed behind him in second. His speed was too much to match as Dasenbrock got his first win in the Summer Shootout after being battle tested in INEX National Event competition in 2026. In his post-race interview, he said, “This is probably the most excited that I have been after winning a race.”

After his sixth time qualifying on pole, the dice roll to determine the invert played in Carson Sherman's favor as he started the race out in front. Sherman kept his lead after a slew of early cautions, and a strong physical battle for second between Lucas McFall, Jackson Jones, and Josh Davenport. The race went caution free after Lap 9 and while McFall had pace capable of winning the race, he could not keep up with Sherman. Dominating the Outlaw division in the Summer Shootout so far, Sherman won his fourth race, leading from start to finish.

Before the firework presentation, Preston Wrisley had a lot to deal with throughout the VP Racing Fuels Semi-Pro Feature. Early on Wrisley dealt with the pace of Dylan Faulkner and Mitch Wright. Faulkner would be a persistent pain for Wrisley, as he would be right on his tail restart after restart as the race went on. Their battle would culminate on the final lap, as Faulkner was able to make a pass to steal the win from Wrisley, who had led the entirety of the race.

The early laps of the Pro Feature showed an incredible battle between Joel Smith, Neal Dulin, and Spencer Bradshaw, with each driver switching within the top three. As the race progressed, Bradshaw got the lead and slowly built a gap between his competitors. After the two restarts later in the race, Bradshaw’s pace was strong through and through. He crossed the finish line with a 1.2 second gap to Smith and won his second feature race in a row.

The Dilling HVAC Masters Feature ended the night with a clean race from green to checkered. Kevin Rollins started the race on pole and led the race to competition, winning his second race of the Summer Shootout.

Long run speed was the name of the game in the Chargers A Feature race tonight. Nicholas Newsome started the race in the lead, looking to get back into the victory column. Frank Jirik also started in the front row and his pace was apparent early in the race, showing he had what it took to win. Jirik found his way into the lead on Lap 5, getting past Newsome early in the race. The race would stay clean for the remainder of the feature, and Jirik would build a dominating lead on the pack. He took the checkered flag with a 1.8 second lead to Newsome in second, and a 6.5 second lead to third.

The Chargers B Feature had multiple race leaders and a final lap shootout for the win. While Everett Larson started this race in the lead, James Hebert led the majority of this race. After leading through most of the race and plenty of cautions, Hebert was passed by Case Hockman with 2 laps to go. A bump and run attempt from Hebert brought out a caution and ending the races of Hockman from the incident, and Hebert with a black flag. The one lap shootout gave Larson the lead and Bro Jordan just behind him. Jordan made his move going into the final turn to win the feature.

Leading from start to finish, Seth Hood drove a dominant race through a caution filled Chargers C Feature.

The A Feature for the Beginner Bandolero’s brought an exciting race early in the night. Stetson Stroup started the race from pole, with Ryan Hoffacker looking to battle with him. The pair battled for the lead early with Stroup getting the advantage. While his lead was a large as 1.1 seconds, Hoffacker got a run with 3 laps to go to contend for the win. Hoffacker got the lead on the final lap, and was able to just barley hold off Stroup as the pair crossed the line side-by-side

Rylan Cooper and Audrey Larson lead the pack to green in the Beginner Bandolero B Feature. The pair battled until Larson misjudge the space between her and lap traffic bringing out a caution early in the race. Cooper would keep the lead, although Parker Phillips hungry to pass him. The pink flag was shown, and after a caution, Rylan Cooper was declared the winner.

With four rounds remaining, the points are beginning to take shape. Maverick Bradshaw leads the Bandits points by 15 over Roo Reaves, and 17 over Landon Solomito. There is a 16-point gap between Outlaws points leader Carson Sherman to Carson Cauble, and 26 points behind is Jackson Jones.

The Young Lions Division is lead by Landon Thrasher, with Brexton Busch and Turner Brown behind 21 and 22 points, respectively.

The Pro Divison has four drivers within 20 points of each other. Ben Morabito is atop the standings with a clean 400 points, but Neal Dulin is back four points, London McKenzie trails 17 and Spencer Bradshaw's two victories this week helped him close his gap back to 18 points.

The tightest points battles are in VP Racing Fuels Semi-Pro and the Dilling HVAC Masters. Colton Hale is the top guy in Semi-Pro, but has Cameron White two points back and Preston Wrisley is six points behind. The Masters Division is lead by Jeff Bolen, but only has a mere two point advantage over Kevin Rollins, and seven points over Jesse Bunnell. Trailing a little further back is Robby Faggart, back 14 points.
