All proceeds from the Legends and Bandolero event will benefit the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund
HARRISBURG, N.C. (July 16, 2026) - In conjunction with Bowman Gray Stadium, INEX Racing Series and U.S. Legend Cars International is proud to announce the Kyle Busch Invitational on Friday, August 21. The special event will be for Legend Cars and Bandoleros, honoring the contributions Kyle Busch made to motor racing, with all event proceeds benefitting the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.
“The Legend Car played an important role in Kyle’s development on his path to becoming one of the greatest race car drivers of his generation,” said G.E. Chapman, Vice President of U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX Racing Series. “We were honored to welcome him back behind the wheel of a Legend Car during the 2025 INEX Winter Nationals, where he competed alongside his son, Brexton. His presence at our events elevated the experience for everyone involved, and his lasting impact on grassroots racing will never be forgotten.”
The Kyle Busch Invitational will be broadcast on FloSports, with qualifying invited entries for Legend Cars capped at 51 Legend Cars, as well as 18 qualifying invited Bandolero entries.
“It’s an honor to host the Kyle Busch Invitational at Bowman Gray Stadium and celebrate the life and legacy of one of racing’s most accomplished drivers,” said Clay Campbell, President of Martinsville Speedway. “This event brings together the passion of our fans, the rich history of the Madhouse, and an incredible cause through the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund. This will be a special night for our fans, our community, and everyone involved.”
Top five points finishers in the Legend Car Pro, Semi-Pro, Masters, and Young Lions Division during the 2026 Cook Out Summer Shootout are automatically locked into the Legend Car field, as well as any driver who won a Legend Car feature in those four divisions outside of the top five in points.
Additional invites will be extended to any past Legend Car INEX National Champions on Asphalt, Dirt, or Road Course, as well as any past INEX Championship National Feature Race winners from Legend Car Asphalt Championship Nationals, Legend Car Dirt Championship Nationals, or Road Course World Finals.
Bandolero invites will be extended to the top five championship finishers at Summer Shootout from the Bandits and Outlaws Divisions, as well as any Bandit or Outlaw driver who won a feature race during Summer Shootout who didn’t finish in the top five in points. Final invites will be reserved for past INEX Bandolero National Champions and past Bandolero Championship Nationals Feature Race winners in the Bandit or Outlaw divisions.
“To have a Legend Car and Bandolero event at Bowman Gray Stadium celebrating Kyle’s life and legacy, while also recognizing the incredible difference he and Samantha have made by helping so many families realize their dreams of becoming parents, is a tremendous honor for everyone at U.S. Legend Cars International and the INEX Racing Series,” Chapman added. “We are proud to be part of an event that celebrates both his remarkable accomplishments in motorsports and the meaningful legacy he and Samantha continue to build beyond the racetrack.”
