What was your favorite moment or memory of the 2025 season?
My favorite moment in the 2025 season was getting out of the car in tech after the P2 finish that made me the national champion and getting to hug my dad and celebrate with my team.
What was the biggest challenge you faced during this season?
My biggest challenge I faced this year is the pressure that you get when racing for a national championship, to get 19 class wins in a season especially as a Semi-Pro (the biggest class) is very stressful and you coming to the end of the year you are racing for wins and you need to get a class win every weekend if you want to be in the championship hunt.
How did you prepare for Asphalt Nationals knowing there were multiple drivers in the hunt for the national title?
I prepared for the Asphalt Nationals by testing at my home track and getting the car top notch to go to Las Vegas for the Asphalt Nationals. My home track (Wake County Speedway) is also a bullring, although it is smaller than the Bullring at Las Vegas it helps, as well as a lot of iRacing.
What does it mean to win your first INEX national championship?
It means a lot to me and my family to win my first INEX national championship, I have a lot of friends and family that has supported me throughout my racing career so I am very grateful and proud of everyone that helped me get here.
Who are the people who helped you win in 2025?
I really have to thank my parents, Fred and Laura Lay, Dillon Spain and everyone who supported me and helped me get to Asphalt Nationals and all of my fans and supporters.
What is next for Josh Lowe’s racing journey?
We are looking at moving into Late Models with select Legend Car starts mixed in.
