Division: Bandits

Number: 66

1. How did you get your start in racing?

When I was young, my dad raced and we spent most of our time at the race track. He raced go karts, Legend Cars, and pro trucks, so I just couldn’t wait to take after him and get into racing. I started out in go karts when I was five and then moved up to [Bandolero] Bandits after that.

2. How did you get the number 66?

My dad was always number 66 in sports and racing, so I took after him. The reason he chose that number was because there are 66 books in the Bible and we are a strong Christian family, so that has always been a big part of our lives.

3. Who is your biggest inspiration?

My dad is my biggest inspiration. He has not raced since I began so he could give me 100% of his time working on my cars and making sure everything is good to go. He is the best crew chief I could ask for.

4. What is your favorite racing memory?

Probably last Winter Nationals. I was able to get quite a few top three finishes and that was the best I had ever raced at a Winter Nationals event. Plus, it was really cool getting to hang out with my friends.

5. How do you get focused before a race?

I don’t really have a routine except for going through all of my equipment and getting my radio ready. My dad will usually give me a pep talk and will always pray with me before I head out to the grid.

6. What is your favorite track and why?

Right now, it is Charlotte Motor Speedway. Even though I have only raced there twice, I really like how fast the track is.

7. If you could name your Bandolero, what would you name it?

I actually already have a name for two of my cars. My oldest car is called “Old Faithful,” and my other car I named it “Flipper” because I went for a wild ride and flipped several times in it.

8. Who is a driver you really look up to?

I have always liked Kyle Larson since he races in basically everything.

9. You are currently third in overall points in the Bandits position, what is your mindset going into Bandolero Nationals next month?

My goal for [Bandolero] Nationals is just to stay upfront and finish the season strong.

10. If you could race against any driver- past or present- who would it be and why?

I would love to race against my dad. I think we would have a blast fighting it out on the track and I really think I would give him a run for his money. My dad always likes to have fun and we are always joking around with each other, so racing against him would be a lot of fun.

11. What is your favorite hobby outside of racing?

I like gaming and deer hunting. We usually wrap up racing at the end of October, so that we can jump into the hunting season.

12. When not in the racecar, who is someone you cheer for while in the pits?

I love cheering on all of my friends that race in other divisions. Even if we are not at the race that day, we will always try to watch online and cheer them on.
