1. Where are you from?

Makenna: We were born in Brighton, Colorado and then in July of 2021 we moved out to North Carolina.

2. What is your favorite restaurant?

Gracie: My favorite restaurant has to be Pisces Sushi in Mooresville. I usually get a tuna roll and they have this panther roll I like.

Makenna: My favorite restaurant is either Pisces or Epic Chophouse in Mooresville. From Pisces I usually get a variety of sushi rolls mostly consisting of tuna and vegetables. At Epic Chophouse I always get a filet with a baked potato.

3. What is your favorite Starbucks drink?

Gracie and Makenna: Hot pumpkin spice latte or the mango lemonade refresher.

4. What are your plans for after high school?

Makenna: I’m a senior so I’ll graduate this year. I’ve recently found interest in marine biology and like NC State and UNCW the best.

Gracie: I want to go to university too and study marketing or sports marketing.

5. What is something not many people know about you guys?

Makenna: When Gracie started I had zero [experience] in racing myself. I just started in March 2020. I started in a backup car and I tried it out for fun to see if I liked it and have been racing ever since.

6. How old were you when you first started racing?

Gracie: I started when I was 12

Makenna: I had just turned 15 when I started.

7. Do you have someone you look up to in racing?

Gracie: I look up to people like Kyle Larson because he is one of the best in the business and a lot of people want to be as good as he is.

Makenna: I would say the successful drivers in the super late models such as Derek Thorn, because no matter what he never gives up and gets the finishes he wants.

8. What's your favorite activity to do outside of racing?

Gracie: We used to do gymnastics for many years, but we quit for racing. We both like to wake surf on our boat in Lake Norman.

9. How are you different from one another?

Gracie: I would say Makenna is more calm, like nothing really makes her super mad. And I am more aggressive and serious when it comes to racing.

Makenna: I would say Gracie is the more aggressive one out of us and I am the one that is more calm and smart about the moves I make.

10. What is one thing that racing has taught you that you carry in your everyday life?

Gracie: Racing has taught me to be tough and handle intense situations and challenges in my everyday life.

Makenna: Racing has taught me not to overthink and not to be so hard on yourself, because a big part of racing is learning.

11. What is the significance of your cars having bright color schemes?

Makenna: Since our dad always had very bright colored schemes, we just picked our favorite bright colors too which are bright pink, purple, orange, and royal blue.

12. Do you have like any pre-race rituals or anything that you have to do before you race?

Gracie: We have a thing where we can’t wear green or eat peanuts because it's supposed to be bad luck at the track.

13. What's your best memory that you've had on the track?

Gracie: My favorite memory on the track has to be my first win in my Bandolero. It was back in 2020 in Nebraska and it is a memory I will never forget.

Makenna: For me is my first win in the Bandolero at Colorado National Speedway on the 4th of July. I remember getting out of the car and seeing this huge crowd of fans cheering and how it brought such excitement.

14. Who motivates you the most?

Gracie: My brother, my dad, and Zack Miracle motivates me the most because they are always wanting me to do better and continue to learn.

Makenna: My parents and my older brother are the people who motivate me the most because they are always there giving me advice on what to do to be able to perform better. I am constantly learning things from my brother on what to and not to do.

15. What were your emotions like when you won your first legend win this past weekend?

Gracie: I definitely wasn't expecting to go to Vegas and win. I went out there to learn and get more seat time. After I won it was just like the best feeling anybody could ever ask for.

16. What’s it like having a sibling having the same passion as you?

Gracie: I love having two siblings that race. I got the chance to race with my brother the first time and it was in Colorado. We all definitely help each other learn and ask questions to make us all better drivers. I like that I’m able to do what I love doing with my whole family there to support me.

Makenna: I think it is so fun having all three of us race. We all help and constantly get advice from each other in order to learn and get better as drivers. It’s nice to know that my siblings will always be there to support me.
