2025 INEX LEGEND CAR ASPHALT NATIONALS FACT SHEET and ENTRY LIST
It’s that time of year once again. The time has come to settle asphalt championships at one of the favorite Legend Car tracks, The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The 34th INEX Legend Car Asphalt Nationals takes place this weekend with over 150 Legend Cars from 31 U.S. States and two Canadian Provinces, set to chase their respective feature championship victory, and for a few, an INEX National Championship. From Alaska to Florida, Nova Scotia to California, the final INEX Championship National of 2025 is set to be highly competitive across each division.
In 2024, Jensen Jorgensen had an unfortunate conclusion to his championship hunt after crashing out during the Pro Division Championship Feature at Dominion Raceway. He was chasing Jacob Burns, who entered last season’s championship weekend as the points leader. Burns’ 15th-place finish one year ago was enough to lift him to a championship, but 2025 might be a bit tougher.
Burns will arrive in Las Vegas with a three-point lead over Jorgensen. Trailing behind them is Joel Smith, who is back 30 points to Burns, which might be a large point count but 31 cars are on the entry list for this weekend’s competition.
The Semi-Pro Division is a hotly contested. Four drivers are tied at the top with 1900 points, with three in attendance: Chase Burgeson, Sean Salazar, and Josh Lowe. Scotty Benford is only three points behind them, while Cole Denton is back 12 points and Mitchell Wright is back 18.
Last season, it was London McKenzie who walked away with the Semi-Pro Championship Feature victory and the national championship. He entered the third turn on the final lap in third, but exited the final corner in first after what was a tremendous battle throughout the feature at the front of the field.
Kevin Rollins travels from Tennessee as the defending Masters Division Asphalt National Champion, but has nine points to make up if he is to surpass Georgia’s Bill Plemons for the lead. Don’t count out Darrell Lee Stewart, as he might be 21 points back, but the road to chase a national title won’t be easy. The Masters Division field will consist of 40 drivers from all corners of the country.
Kyle Beattie was elevated to victory last year on the four-tenths, banked mile of Dominion. Plemons finish sixth and Rollins was ninth. Rollins eclipsed Kevin Nowak by a single point, but this year he is the only that is put on his heel. For Plemons, he is not only chasing his first national title, but also another Golden Masters Championship as a compliment.
Finally, the Young Lions Division has a three-way top at the top. The West Coast’s Taylor Mayhew is tied at 1900 points with East Coasters Ben Morabito and Brody Rhodes. Morabito looks to add an Asphalt Nationals Championship Feature title to his 2025 championships. He has already claimed titles at Winter Nationals, Spring Nationals and the Cook Out Summer Shootout, let alone his road course accolades in this season.
Brody Rhodes has put together a stellar 2025 with victories across North Carolina and Virginia, that includes a 0.001 of a second victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway against Morabito. Mayhew has been a frequent visitor in the CARS Tour West Legend Car victory circle and won at the Chilly Willy back in January. And don’t count out Dylan Bongiovanni, who captured EchoPark Speedway’s Young Lions Thursday Thunder Championship, trails the three above him by a mere 12 points.
The Bassett Fastest Qualifier Challenge, introduced at Dominion Raceway last season, returns for the a Friday night’s closing feature following ProFABrication Qualifying and heat races. Last season, Jorgensen bested the field to win the inaugural installment, taking a new set of Bassett rims home with him.
Thursday will be a practice day for the nearly 150 Legend Car drivers before ProFABrication Qualifying and heat races, along with the Bassett Fastest Qualifier Challenge on Friday. Championship Saturday will include a Bandolero feature, along with championship features for the Chargers, Young Lions, Masters, Semi-Pro, and Pro Divisions. Coverage of Friday’s action begins at 3pm ET/12pm PT on U.S. Legend Cars TV. Championship action will begin on Saturday with the necessary B-Mains at 4:30pm ET/1:30pm PT on USLCI TV.
The 34th INEX Legend Car Asphalt Nationals signals the end of 2025 INEX Racing Series season. The 2026 season will open with road course racing on December 6 with the Silver State Road Course Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the site of the 2026 INEX Road Course World Finals.
