2025 INEX LEGEND CAR DIRT NATIONALS FACT SHEET, SCHEDULE and ENTRY LIST

For the first time since 2017, INEX’s Legend Car Dirt Nationals parks in North Dakota. Just down the road from Minot Air Force Base, Nodak Speedway hosts the season-ending national event for dirt Legend Car racers for the first in the event’s 29-year history. The 2025 edition begins with practice on Thursday, October 9, followed by two days of competition on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11.

Thanks to a rule change before the 2024 season, Ryan Zima was able to compete in the Young Lions Division for a third season. Subsequently, he captured 2024 Young Lions Championship Feature victory during last season’s Legend Car Dirt Nationals at BAPS Motor Speedway in Pennsylvania, making that his third-straight Young Lions Championship Feature victory.

Zima has now timed out of Young Lions and moved to the Pro Division, and as a result there are no previous winners in this year’s field. Making this year’s edition a little more exciting is the fact the top four in national points are only separated by 12 points. North Dakota’s Regan Reinke enters with a three-point lead over fellow North Dakotan, Rylan Vetter. Six points behind Reinke is Minnesota’s Alexander Clark and trailing by 12 points is Colton Miller, also from North Dakota.

Clark and Vetter both captured victories at Nodak during the season.

The four-time INEX Dirt National Champion, Donavin Wiest, and the two-time INEX Dirt National Champion, Glenn Mitchell, will arrive at Nodak Speedway tied up in national points with 1900 points each. Wiest is the defending national champion and looks to keep the title in his home state of North Dakota. Despite the four national championships, Wiest has done so by winning only one Legend Car Dirt Nationals Championship feature back in 2010 at Springfield Raceway.

Mitchell just missed out on the national title in 2024, after winning back-to-back in 2022 and 2023, with the 2023 championship being accompanied by a victory at Fayetteville Motor Speedway during that season’s Dirt Nationals. Not far behind in third place is Sean Johnson, by just 12 points. None of the three have competed at Nodak in 2025. Duston Hagen, who enters Dirt Nationals down 36 points, tied for fifth, was the top Masters Division driver in both his starts at Nodak.

The 2023 INEX Young Lions National Champion, Ty Olson, suffered a heartbreak in the 2024 Dirt Nationals at BAPS. The North Dakotan graduated to the Semi-Pro Division ahead of the 2025 season and is tied for the points lead with Ohio driver, Quade Schoonover. The both have a perfect 1900 and have four drivers in close proximity to them. The Madler brothers, Gage and Noah, each trail by nine and 15 points respectively. Behind them is Hayden Schmuhl, and has done a lot of racing with the Midwest Legends Dirt Series in his home state of Wisconsin. He trails Olson and Schoonover by 18 points and Kansas’ own Chance Gilbert is back 21 points.

Olson and Noah Madler have each won at Nodak this season, giving them some experience over some of their Semi-Pro counterparts. Like Olson, Madler and Schoonover are looking for their own redemption after disappointing finishes in 2024’s championship feature, that left them out of the national championship hunt. And with the amount of drivers in contention for the national championship, the Semi-Pros will be the feature to require the most eyeballs to keep up with the math as the laps click away Saturday night.

As for the Pro Division, North Dakota’s Preston Martin enters with a healthy 54-point advantage over Minnesota’s Tye Wilke. Martin won the 2023 INEX Pro Dirt National Championship, but did so without winning the Dirt Nationals Championship feature. A home victory and resulting national championship would feel “crazy special.” Wilke is a two-time national champion, winning the 2017 Young Lions title and the 2018 Semi-Pro title, but will need help in order to earn his first Pro championship. Preston and his brother Casey, scored victories at Nodak during the season.

Friday’s competition will begin at approximately 5:30pm CT/3:30pm PT on U.S. Legend Cars TV with ProFABrication Qualifying and heat races. The night will conclude with the 25-lap Bassett Fastest Qualifier Challenge for the night’s fastest qualifiers with a chance to win a free set of Bassett rims. Coverage of Championship Saturday will begin at approximately 7pm CT/5pm PT on USLCI TV with the four championship features.

Lineups and results will be available on MyRacePass.
