1. How did you get your start in racing.
My dad took me to our local go-kart track for the Chili Bowl at Triple T Raceway and I absolutely fell in love right out the get go.
2. How did you pick the number 9?
After the first go-kart race, I started getting into NASCAR a little bit. It happened to be around the time Chase Elliott transitioned from the number 24 to the number 9. I figured I might as well hop on the 9 train.
3. Who is your biggest inspiration?
I’d say Chase Elliott.
4. What is your favorite racing memory?
Being able to battle Andrew Patterson at New River All-American Speedway this past year. At Fayetteville Motor Speedway, it was the last lap coming green to the checkered, and he ran the outside line and passed me on the last lap for both of our first wins. At New River All-American Speedway last year, I got my get back with a little more of a battle and I came out on top.
5. How do you get focused before a race?
I try to go around and talk to people and hang out. Anytime I am at the race track it feels like home.
6. What is your favorite track?
Charlotte Motor Speedway is probably my favorite track. It’s diverse, very fun but also very challenging.
7. What inspired your paint scheme choice?
I know what most people do and I wanted to stand out. We went with the dark background to the bright vibrant orange color to pop out.
8. What is something you enjoy doing outside of racing?
I really enjoy sim racing, but most people don’t know that I am really involved in bowling. I was seventh in North Carolina for state bowling. I got started because my mom and dad used to bowl a while back, they took me whenever I was about six years old and I got into it a little bit and then ever since then I go around doing tournaments and all kinds of stuff now.
9. How has the move from racing in dirt to racing asphalt been?
I think starting out dirt racing was the best thing I’ve ever done, it helped with car control and developing me as a driver. It's very challenging and aggressive. Now going to asphalt has helped smooth all those same concepts out and it’s really helped me as a driver.
10. How has your driving craft improved over the last couple of months?
The last couple of months I went from being a little too wild up on the wheel to smoothing out, calming down a bit, but being able to still be aggressive with limited mistakes.
11. What was the feeling like for you to be crowned 2025 Legends Track Champion at Southern National Motorsports park? And how does the experience help you at the 2025 Cookout Summer Shootout?
That gave me an awesome chunk of momentum heading into the shootout. I just have my head up, smiling everywhere I go. I’m happy to be at Charlotte but tons of headstrong momentum from Southern National Motorsports Park.
12. What are your 2025 racing goals?
Go for a top 3 in national points and try to win the Thanksgiving classic at Southern National Motorsports Park.
13. What is your ultimate goal in motorsports?
I want to make a difference. I want to be able to spread the word of the Lord for God, making a difference in everybody’s life.
