1. How did you get your start in racing?

My dad used to help Ty King with go-karts. We went to one of his sons first races at Cordele Motor Speedway, and my dad asked if I wanted to get into one of the Legend Cars. I tried it out and it went from there.

2. How did you get your number?

That was his number [King’s son], and we kept going to all of his races and I picked 62 to make my car look just like theirs.

3. Who is your biggest inspiration?

My dad, he always pushes me to work harder at what I’m doing and to get better every time.

4. What is your favorite racing memory?

Winning the track championship at Cordele last year. It being my first year in a race car and winning the track championship made it really special.

5. You recently got started running in Legend Cars, in your time so far what has made racing it exciting and challenging?

Getting out there and learning more every time and being able to compete against other people. Most of the people I race against have raced either go-karts or Bandoleros, but this is my first time racing, so to be able to compete against them is great.

6. What do you want to get out of racing?

My main goal is to make it to the Cup Series, but other than that just keep growing, learning patience, and self-control.

7. How do you measure success while racing?

I see it as every time I go out, I want to improve, get faster, and work on my lines every time I go out.

8. What is your favorite track?

I’d say Cordele, with the banking and speed, it’s really fun.

9. You have run a lot of races at Cordele Motor Speedway, what has made that an exciting track for you?

You get up to speed a lot faster and it’s really fun with the banking to race at.

10. How do you balance competing in racing with academics and being a student?

It’s not really a challenge, because I go to school during the week, and Fridays I leave school to go to practice. I have to keep the mindset of being a student first though.

11. If you could race at any track in the world, what would it be?

Daytona, it looks like a fun track to run. It’s a big track and seems like it would be fun to run.

12. What's the biggest lesson that racing has taught you in life?

Patience and self-control really.

13. What are some of your hobbies outside of racing?

I play baseball and I like to hunt a lot. It helps me keep my mind focused.
