1. How did you get your start in racing.
I started in Quarter-Midgets because I saw my dad racing and wanted to start racing too.
2. How did you pick the number 15?
There’s a lot of generations before me that has raced number 15 in my family. I just wanted to continue the trend and take 15.
3. Who is your biggest inspiration?
My dad just because I’ve watched him race so much around Southern National [Motorsports Park] and all those other places and it’s how I wanted to start racing.
4. What is your favorite racing memory?
Winning a Summer Shootout race and winning Spring Nationals in Highland Rim. It was really cool because this is my first time in Legend Cars, and it was great to win against the best competition.
5. How do you get focused before a race?
I like to sit in my car way before I get to the grid and get locked in.
6. What is your favorite track?
Charlotte Motor Speedway. It’s big and it holds so many memories and it’s cool if you win here because of all the big names that have won here.
7. How has being a part of Miller Performance Motorsports helped improve your race craft?
[Zach Miller] has been really good. He listens to my adjustments and he adjusts them perfectly. He’s taught me a lot off and on the track, and shows me what I need to improve on.
8. What are some lessons that you’ve learned from your family, being a fourth-generation driver, that has helped you while behind the wheel?
My family has been teaching me a lot. They come out and support me and watch me race. They also help me learn about what I need to fix and what I need to improve on.
9. Between Late Models, Quarter-Midgets, and Legends Cars, which has been the most enjoyable to drive in?
Definitely Late Models. It has so much horsepower, and it’s a really big car. It’s a lot of fun to hop in there and do laps, especially since that’s what my dad raced a lot and I watched him race in that a lot.
10. What divisions and cars did you race when you earned your eight NASCAR youth series championships?
I raced Quarter-Midgets and I raced in a lot of classes. I was in five classes, Senior Honda, Senior Animal, Light 160, Light Over Formula and Modular Formula. The only one I did not win a championship in was Light World. I really enjoyed the Mod world because they were really fast. They’re really fun and I’ve enjoyed getting into those cars.
11. Can you describe the challenges and advantages to driving at Thursday Thunder at EchoPark Speedway and at the Cook Out Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway?
Being at both, they are equally really good lessons. They teach me a lot and it gets me fit and in shape for racing more because I race Summer Shootout Tuesdays and I’ll go to Atlanta and race Thursdays and Wednesdays and there are a lot of Challenges in both. You got a lot of good people here and a lot of good people in Atlanta so it teaches you a lot.
12. What is your ultimate goal in motorsports?
Get Into NASCAR and try to win a championship just because it would feel really good to accomplish my dreams I’ve been dreaming of since I was a little kid.
