Cash LeCroy may be considered a rookie in a Legend car, but he has had no problem taking on the new challenges and dominating the playing field. With three straight wins in the Chargers Division, LeCroy is ready to continue to push himself to find further success as he has moved into the Semi-Pro division for the remainder of the Cook Out Summer Shootout.

1. How did you get your start in racing?
I started off in side-by-sides and was just trail riding, then I ended up short course racing and rally cross racing in those for a couple years. I raced the Nitro Cross Series and Championship Off Road. Then I eventually started getting into asphalt stuff with the Legend Cars.
2. How did you pick the number 27?
I can’t even remember. It’s just always been my number. I [think] 2 and 7 looks cool.
3. Who is your biggest inspiration?
My dad, he’s always pushing and beating me up to be better.
4. What is your favorite racing memory?
When I raced on the Richmond NASCAR track rally cross and passed Travis Pastrana for the win.
5. How do you get focused before a race?
I just get in there and go, I don’t really focus too much. Maybe say a little prayer.
6. What is your favorite track (and why)?
For asphalt, I like the Dominion Raceway road course. It is a really fun, fast track.
7. You have had a very successful start to Cook Out Summer Shootout as a Charger, how do you plan to keep that momentum going now that you are in the Semi-Pro Division?
It is going to be a lot harder with being in the Semi-Pro [Division] now. I just have to stay focused on exceeding [expectations] and excelling every time I’m on the track.
8. What is the biggest lesson racing has taught you?
Work harder than everybody else and you will do better than everybody.
9. If you could race against any driver- past or present- who would it be and why?
Probably Travis Pastrana. I liked racing Travis because it was very clean and he was just right on par there.
10. What's one skill outside of racing that you wish you could master?
I really wish I could play golf, but I just suck at it. We went to the simulator and I am just terrible. I haven’t even been to the course yet.
11. How do you stay calm during a race?
For me, there is nothing else to really think about, I am just there focused on the race. I am just in the moment.
12/ What are your ultimate goals in racing?
I would like to get to the NASCAR Cup Series someday.
