1. How did you get your start in racing?
I started racing thanks to Wyatt Dent. He is so talented. One year he was so far up in the championship that if he didn’t compete, he would have still won it. Him and his family decided to sponsor and let me use his car for a race. When I did, I got hooked on it and have been racing ever since.
2. How did you get the number 60?
Wyatt’s number is 68 and so we were trying to think of numbers that we would be able to make from the 68. The easiest one we could think of was 60, so we put duct tape over to 8 to make it look like a 0 and I have been using it since.
3. Who is your biggest inspiration?
I would probably say my dad. He helps me so much in everything I do.
4. What is your favorite racing memory?
My favorite racing memory is when I got my first win at Colorado National Speedway. Getting that feeling after I finally won was so good.
5. How do you get focused before a race?
I do not really have a routine, but once I put on my helmet and put down my visor, I am just able to get focused in on what I have to do.
6. What is your favorite track and why?
I would say the Bullring at Las Vegas [Motor Speedway] because it is so fast and smooth. It is just such a fun race track to compete at.
7. Who is someone you would like an autograph from?
I would go with Ryan Blaney. He is my favorite NASCAR driver, so I would really like to meet him and get an autograph from him too.
8. What is the story behind the nickname “Baby Night Rider”?
There is a track up in Cheyenne, Wyoming that I was racing up at a long time ago. The announcer would say things like, “There goes the Baby Night Rider” or something random like that. After the race, I got out of the car and Tiffany Lange was like, “There you go Baby Night Rider,” and making jokes about it. We don’t know why the announcer said that, but it has stuck with me ever since.
9. You’re doing a multi-hour race. Who are two drivers you are picking to share the race car with?
I would choose my teammates, Wyatt Dent and Brianna Bruce. I just think the way that they both drive is really strong; they have the right mixture of being aggressive, patient and overall solid drivers.
10. If you could pick anywhere in the world to race, where would it be?
I would like to race in Alaska because I have heard a lot of great things. [Alaska Raceway Park] seems really cool and I think the view would be amazing too.
11. What do you believe has been your biggest accomplishment in racing so far?
Learning how to pick up the sport itself, but specifically really being patient behind the wheel and learning how others drive in the field with you.
12. What are your ultimate racing goals?
One goal I have is to hopefully one year get the national championship and the win a championship at Colorado National Speedway this year. Another goal I have for myself would be to get a top 3 finish in my Legend Car.
