A lot has changed in the two years since we last interview Spencer Bradshaw. In that time, he has changed divisions, won races, and most recently won the 2026 Pro division and Spring Nationals. While he enjoys taking care of his fish in his free time, he has his eyes set on this year’s Summer Shootout, and potentially the National Championship.

1. Since you were last interviewed, you have made the jump from the Young Lions Division to Pro. How has that adjustment gone? What have you had to learn in order to be competitive with the Pro Division?

It was definitely a struggle at first. Consistency is a lot more important to be competitive in Pro. Experience is definitely the biggest difference. I can be fast, but if I make a mistake that I would make in Young Lions, instead of losing a spot, I get swarmed by a bunch of cars and lose five.

2. You won the Pro Division at Spring Nationals, how does that feel? What were you able to do to put yourself in a position to be the Champion in a very competitive field?

Being consistent the whole week, I didn’t finish a race outside of the top 5. That played a huge role for me. It was cool racing both tracks, Highland Rim is one of my favorite tracks and I tend to be fast there. It was cool to get a mix of both, and I was relived to get to the Fairgrounds because I was able to pass which is something that is more difficult to do at the Rim.

3. Who is your biggest inspiration?

I would say Joe Ryan, because of what he has taught me, and showing me what it takes to run up front. Joe has definitely taught me a lot and is my biggest inspiration.

4. What is your favorite racing memory?

Winning my first race at the Summer Shootout. After switching teams, and seeing how excited everyone was to see me win was really cool.

5. What do you want to get out of racing?

I want to know that I went as far as I could, and that I tried my best. I want to learn life lessons; I think that’s what it’s really all about.

6. How do you measure success while racing?

By the lessons you learn. If you make a mistake, its ok you learn not to make it again.

7. What is your favorite track?

I would say the Bullring in Las Vegas. I enjoy hot lapping the place and racing there is really fun.

8. What are your racing goals for 2026?

I definitely want to pick up a championship at the Summer Shootout, and I also have the National Championship in mind, too.

9. If you could race at any track in the world, what would it be?

Probably the Daytona 500. It is one of the most prestigious races and its one that anyone can win at. Its foot to the floor and you just have to survive.

10. What's the biggest lesson that racing has taught you in life?

Different life lessons like accountability, discipline, and work ethic. Racing is just like any other sport; you have to be determined and have passion to do it.

11. What are some of your hobbies outside of racing?

I have some fish tanks at my house, and I take care of the fish tanks at the Joe Ryan Racecar shop. My favorite fish that I have right now are probably my Pea Puffers, I have a group of 16 in a 55-gallon tank. Billy’s tank over at Joe Ryan’s has Oscar fish which is also pretty cool. Other than that, I also do a lot of Sim-racing as well.
