FULL INEX RACING SERIES INSPECTOR BULLETIN - July 8, 2026
U.S. Legend Cars has received (and delivered) several Bassett wheels that were produced with offset that does not match the specifications stated in the current INEX rulebook. These wheels will not pass the “tech gauge”. They measure less than the 3” offset allowed by the rule (measured from the back rim edge to the back of the wheel center).
USLCI is in the process of issuing a recall of these “illegal” wheels. At this time, If you find these wheels in tech, it won’t be a disqualification. However, that driver will need to return those wheels to USLCI for replacement. We will set a date in the near future that these wheels will be considered illegal for use in INEX sanctioned competition.
Please take the time to inspect your wheels to confirm the measurements. If you have an “illegal” wheel, please contact USLCI for a replacement.
Note:
With all INEX legal wheels setting on a flat surface, if you measure down the center to the flat surface, the legal measurement will be 3” to 3 1/4” from the back rim edge (“flat surface”) to the back of the wheel center.
The wheels in question, being recalled, will be Bassett, INEX stamped & stickered (INEX barcode sticker) and will measure 2 15/16” using the above method of measurement (see inserted picture).
